Flood recovery celebration

Winners of door prizes available to attendees of the Greater UI Community Flood Recovery Celebration have been selected.  The eight winners were chosen from the more than 450 entries received by members of UI Staff Council during the event staged June 15 on the Pentacrest.

The list of prizes available included pairs of tickets to select events at Hancher Auditorium, pairs of tickets to the Iowa-Michigan football game to be played at historic Kinnick Stadium on Nov. 12, and private tours of the Hancher Auditorium hosted by Chuck Swanson, director of Hancher; Visual Arts Building hosted by Steve McGuire, professor, School of Art and Art History; and Voxman Music Building hosted by David Gier, professor and director, School of Music.

Friends of the UI have four additional opportunities to win tickets and experiences as part of the celebration of the grand openings of Hancher Auditorium, Visual Arts Building, Voxman Music Building, and the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.

All individuals who submit a post to the Digital Wall of Inspiration located inside the “Inspire” web site (inspire.uiowa.edu) will be eligible for prize drawings on Aug. 24, Sept. 21, Oct. 26, and Nov. 16.  For details about the Digital Wall of Inspiration or to submit your “UI Inspiration,” click here.
