Visual Arts Building
Engineers modeled how sunlight hit the University of Iowa's new Visual Arts Building every hour of the day, every day of the year, to design spaces that took full advantage of as much natural light as possible. Natural light is a better quality of light for making art and also contributes to savings related to the cost of heating and cooling the structure.
